Founded by the Late Manibhai G. Patel in 1935, K. Manibhai & Co. dealt primarily with Tea and Tobacco products. It was in 1938 that K. Manibhai & Co. obtained its Certificate of Recognition as an export house from the Government of India leading to its exporting activities.

Today, the group is run by the Founder’s three sons, each having diverse technical expertise obtained in the U.S., Europe, and India. Mr. K.M. Patel, a senior partner, has been a member of the Indian Tea Board and the Chairman of Federation of the All India Tea Trader’s Association.

Having witnessed immense growth over sixty-five years, K. Manibhai & Co. now undertakes trading & exporting as well as manufacturing & processing.

Having an annual turnover of Rs. 400 Million (approx. USD 12 Million), K. Manibhai & Co. employs 2300 individuals which nearly doubles during tea plucking season.

STRENGTH IN TEA
K. Manibhai & Co. owns four tea estates which produce 3.0 Million kg of high grade teas annually. Packed on-site at the four estates, the teas qualify for the 100% Regional Seal of Origin, equivalent to packed teas.

Selling GARDEN FRESH packed teas, K. Manibhai & Co. is one of the leading premium quality tea companies on the Indian market.

Our Imperial Tea Caddy won the Gold Medal at the Leipzig International Fair in Germany. The IMPERIAL brand is available both as a vacuum-packed loose leaf tea and as tea bags. K. Manibhai & Co. will also soon capitalize on its production expertise by dealing directly with top European retail groups under exclusive production contracts.

VAST SALES AND PURCHASING NETWORK ACROSS INDIA
The Company has vast network of branches to Co-ordinate all its activities and to ensure smooth functioning. It has internal Sales in Mumbai and Gujrat (Nadiad) and Offices in Calcutta, Guwahati, Coonoor and Siliguri to facilitate the auctions-buying and selling.
